James grew up in Dubai a non-Christian home, a self-confessed atheist by his early teens. He came to trust in Jesus shortly before turning 18, and now longs to keep growing in love for Jesus and in ability to help others love Jesus, too.

When not training to be a vicar, James likes to play Elton John and Billy Joel songs on the piano, build wonky bookcases, walk in beautiful places, and read good books.
